To provide maximum flexibility we have developed two mail creation solutions - eLetter Desktop and eLetter Enterprise. Both enable you to create quality mail communications and electronically transfer them to Australia Post for printing, enveloping, address validation, barcoding and lodgement - without leaving your desk.
eLetter Desktop is a unique software tool allowing you to cost effectively handle all your ad hoc mail communications. For essential bulk mail communications and more complex transactional documents, you can outsource directly to us using our eLetter Enterprise solution. As all your manual mail preparation tasks are transferred to Australia Post, your in-house costs to complete mailings (stationery, photocopying, labour, etc) and delivery to market can be significantly reduced. This allows your staff to focus more time on what's most important - to drive your business activity.
Consolidating your mail and costs
The key strengths of our eLetter Creation solutions are their ability to create personalised mail from single or multiple desktops and consolidate them into one file for printing. You can use eLetter Creation to send just one document or to produce thousands of letters at a time, spanning simple correspondence through to personalised statements driven by complex data structures.
As the entire process is computer-based, your staff can utilise eLetter Creation across an unlimited number of locations within your business. And through our national mailhouse network we can print and distribute mail in the state of destination. Documents can be lodged electronically today and in the mail tomorrow.
Through offering centralised consolidation of your mail, presorting and same state distribution, we can significantly lower your mailing costs.
eLetter Desktop
Supplied free of charge, eLetter Desktop enables you to take control of the entire mail preparation process - from setting up your template, attaching your data and lodging your completed mail pieces electronically through the eLetter Desktop system. Ideal for customer letters, pay slips, notices and simple transactional mail, this hassle free solution offers complete personalisation and flexible design to meet your specific requirements.
The eLetter Desktop process
The eLetter Desktop software can be installed either onto a single PC or a network connected PC, allowing your team access from their desktops and the sharing of template documents. We recommend the following minimum software and hardware configurations - PC with Pentium 500 MHz processor, Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system, 256 MB of RAM, 20 GB hard drive, graphics card with 256 colours and a monitor resolution of 1024 x 768. It is a simple four-step process to create and lodge mail.
Step 1 : Create your template
Click on the eLetter Desktop icon and create your template. Your only restrictions are the address block and a clear zone to the left of the address block that cannot include text or graphics. You can also utilise our eLetter Design service for professional assistance in designing your communication.
Step 2 : Attach your database
Simply select your database of contacts. eLetter Desktop supports a broad range of regular data file formats such as Excel, Access and text files.
Step 3 : Insert information
Insert your variable and non-variable text, tables, graphics, logos and signatures.
Step 4 : Proof a live sample, then lodge
Click the "live" button to proof all or a sample of your entire lodgement of mail. Then simply approve it and click the lodgement button.
Documents can be lodged securely by e-mail, direct file transfer or the Internet (HTTPS). You will receive a confirmation of lodgement by return e-mail. Once we receive the lodgement the addresses are validated; and then the documents are barcoded, presorted, printed, enveloped and lodged by eLetter Mailhouse - from the click of a button.
eLetter Enterprise
eLetter Enterprise allows for a greater degree of complexity and transactional detail, such as for a credit card statement or a complex rates notice. We work on behalf of you to build a higher level of personalisation and conditional programming into your template, scripting specific code to meet your individual requirements. Once we have developed this custom made solution, data files can be lodged through our Internet gateway using SFTP or HTTPS. These secure lodgement methods utilise industry leading file transfer protocols.
Following lodgement you will receive an e-mail from eLetter Solutions confirming we have received your data. You also have the option to send test data to check the accuracy of your lodgement before committing the job to print.

Free installation and training
With eLetter Desktop there is no charge for the software, installation, set up and training. All you pay is the all-inclusive cost per communication that is negotiated once we have identified your specific requirements and expected volumes. This cost includes all paper, envelopes, printing, folding, addressing and postage at a rate more competitive than you could achieve in-house. As eLetter Enterprise is a more customised solution, its competitive pricing structure is itemised for each variable. This allows for greater flexibility in choice of base stocks, number of follower pages and printing options.
